Make Way For A New Freelance Writer

Whether you're covering the political landscape or running for office, Politica frames your campaign through the entire season... and beyond.

Photos and videos of stump speeches, in-depth text analysis of the raging debates, and your latest tweets, all diplomatically organized. The race is on. Let Politica Child Theme help you win it.

The avenues for successfully publishing everything from articles to short stories, poetry to how-to articles and inspirational thoughts to web content has never been more impressive.

Perhaps the greatest struggle for web writers is defining the opportunities that best suit their individual tastes and level of comfort.

For some, the advent of freelance bidding sites has been a help in locating opportunities the writer may feel especially qualified for. The struggle with this approach is that bidding sites often see bids for as little as a dollar per article. For many writers this is a disrespectful price for their work.

However, if a client can receive work at this price in a bid process they may believe it to be a cost effective way to gain content at a price that is generally below their budgeted amount for the project.

What often happens is articles purchased at these cutthroat prices are often completed by off shore freelancers that may not have a complete grasp on the American English language and may not be equipped to write an article with the correct vernacular.

In many cases these articles need revisions. The individual who purchased the articles is then left with three choices.

1. Refuse payment because the articles were not up to standard.

2. Revise the material personally.

3. Pay a second party to provide copyediting services.

Those who seek content often find it is still cheaper to pay the extra for copyediting services than to pay a higher fixed amount for original writing from other services. However, for some this scenario creates a bit of a nightmare and may ultimately require the payment of a secondary writer to meet their writing objectives by writing entirely new content.

Many companies seeking quality content are more than happy to pay a higher amount if they locate a writer that can deliver timely content in a manner that is largely error-free.

Much of the income a freelance writer may find is due to satisfied customers that return for additional material and refer their business associates to the writer for similar work.

If you are a freelance writer, take heart, there is room for you, but you need to produce quality original content that is delivered on (or before) deadline. Be professional and willing to fix any mistakes that may be discovered. Make customer service a priority.

You can receive fair payment for your work, but you must make sure the quality of your work is at a high enough standard that your client feels as if they have received a bargain.

Free Website Traffic Is Your Best Option

The internet is loaded with ways to generate free website traffic and the best methods are right at your fingertips! Some companies offer you -search engine optimization packages- or -traffic building services,- which can be good options for those who don't have time to bother with traffic driving.

However, if you're looking to save money -- and are willing to put in a little effort -- there are plenty of ways to attract free website traffic to your site.

The people who generally opt out of using free website traffic are people who want many clicks on third-party ads. If that is your situation, and you are making most of your money from those clicks, it is a viable option.

You have to weigh what you make with those clicks, versus what you are paying to get them. You also have to ask yourself if this is the kind of traffic promotion you want to do. Paying for traffic won't necessarily garner fans for your site.

A blog will attract more free website traffic by acting as a net to catch visitors and interest them in the rest of your site. A daily posting on your blog can keep people coming back for more repeatedly.

The blog works like a small advertisement to entice people, offering your visitors a small taste of what the rest of the site holds. It piques the viewer's interest and makes them want to explore further.

Another way to get free website traffic is to use search engine optimization. In order to do this, you'll need some idea of how search engines work. You don't have to be an expert -- or hire one, either -- if you don't mind experimenting a little.

Don't let professional traffic promotion sites tell you otherwise. Don't think of the internet is an ocean swimming with -search engine optimizing sharks- looking to gobble up all your hopes of more website traffic.

Rather, it is a multi-layered ecosystem where different people, at different skill levels, can all thrive if they just learn how to get around. Of course, the option to hire someone is always open to you.

The most important thing to know about getting free website traffic is this: You need to have a good site. It needs to be focused, with easy-to use, relevant information that will provide something for the reader.

All the traffic promotion in the world will be of little use if your site is sub-par. You may see some increased traffic temporarily -- but if your site doesn't do what it promises, then your success won't last. There is no substitute for a good product.

What Blogging Can Do For Your Business?

Any business model can benefit from adding a web log to their domain.

There is certainly nothing new about the concept of blogging, and yet many business owners and Internet entrepreneurs don’t seem to grasp the power of this simple strategy. This is evidenced by the fact that many business websites do not include a blog.

If you run a business site, but do not currently have a blog, there is a great chance that you are leaving money on the table. Regardless of what kind of business you are in, a dynamic and interactive web log will improve customer response and add profits to your bottom line.

Consider this:

When you use a web log as the platform for your newsletter or ezine, you can post each of your promotions to the web, and then invite your subscribers to your blog to view your most recent update. When readers follow the link from your email to your latest blog post, they will not only have the opportunity to respond to the current promotion, they will be able to browse your blog and take action on offers you made last week, last month, even last year.

Quite often when I mail my list about my latest blog post, I end up making new sales on a promotion I did some time ago. And since my blog is linked to all of my other web sites, it’s easy for me to generate traffic for multiple products and services with just one mailing.

And blogging is a great way to generate new web traffic for your domain. By setting your blog software to ‘ping’ search and directory portals each time you make a post, you can alert a large number of people about your new content with the single click of a button.

Also, search engines are more likely to spider your site on a regular basis if you update your content frequently. With blog software, making changes to the text on your web pages is as simple as sending an email; you just fill in a subject line and post body, and then click ‘submit’.

You can even configure your blog so readers are able to leave comments and questions about your articles. They don’t have to take the time to send you an email, they can just click on the comments link and post their feedback right there on the spot. This is one of the easiest ways possible to encourage productive interaction among your prospects and customers.

Blogging requires no special technical knowledge. Sure there is an advanced side to this marketing strategy, but just adding a web log to your domain and making posts on a regular basis can improve your traffic flow and customer response tremendously.

Optimizing Online Catalog Copy for the Search Engines

It only makes sense. You have an e-commerce catalog site. You want lots of visitors to come to your site and buy. The best (and most cost-effective) way to do that is with great search engine placement. However, search engines are text machines, and most catalogs don’t have a lot of text, so herein lies the problem.

The obvious answer is that you need more copy on each page. However, the pictures of your products are just as important as the copy, so they can’t be removed to make more space. That doesn’t leave a lot of room in the product description area, does it? Maybe not, but who said all the copy had to go in the description area? Who said you have to create a site the same way a paper catalog is created?

Sometimes we view our site’s pages with a very narrow vision. This causes us to have an “it’s always been done that way” mentality. While direct mail catalogs may be sorely limited on space and require short sections of copywriting, Web pages have infinite room for copy.

Your Home Page

Most often, online catalogs have a home page that is almost exclusively graphic. There may be short blips of copywriting here and there, but not much. Since your home page is the most important page to have optimized for the engines, you’ll want to include a minimum of 200 words of SEO copywriting there. Don’t panic… it doesn’t have to all be in one place.

You can create a short section of keyword-rich body copy as an introduction to the site. Then, under a graphic of your new spring additions, include some SEO copy explaining why your visitors will just *have* to have these products. You can then add a sentence or two of copy under the graphics in your sidebar. Lastly, give the highlights of your customer-service program or money-back guarantee and an invitation to click further into the site to shop around, and you’re all done.

Obviously, where the copy goes is dependent on your site’s layout, but you get the idea. Spread the copywriting around. You don’t have to put it all in one lump in the middle of the page.

Category Pages

What traditionally happens with online catalogs is that you click from the home page to a “category” page. That category page usually just has links on it to other individual product pages plus perhaps a picture or two. That’s a shame because category pages are another perfect place for SEO copy.

Since keyphrases are often highly descriptive of products (i.e., crew neck sweaters, six-disc CD players, etc.), they work wonderfully on category pages. Because category pages are selective (they only show products within a certain category), they are exceptional arenas for SEO copywriting.

Let’s say you have a catalog site that deals with interior design accessories for the home. One category might be Tiffany lamps. Because the phrase Tiffany lamps is also a wonderful keyphrase, its inclusion in the category page copy comes quite naturally. This means you can create SEO copywriting for the top or middle of the page (just a short paragraph or two) and also write blips of copy for each product description. For example:

===================================
The Tiffany Lamp - A Timeless Masterpiece
===================================

Tiffany lamps have long been considered icons of style. While certain characteristics are constant (that’s what makes a Tiffany lamp a Tiffany lamp), there is also tremendous variety. From Tiffany lamps for your floor to those made to adorn your ceilings, you’ll find one reflective of your own personal taste and style.

Next you could list all the individual products (floor Tiffany lamps, ceiling Tiffany lamps, desk Tiffany lamps, etc.) and give brief, keyword-rich descriptions of each one.

Product Descriptions

When you get to the product description level, you’ll want to include enticing, keyword-rich copy with each listing. However, you’ll also want to include more text on each product page.

Consider that most people shopping online don’t have the benefit of being able to touch, feel, smell, taste, or see the actual products. Use the lack of human senses to develop more descriptive information for your visitors.

You might also want to include any technical information you have for your products on the same product description page. Contrary to Internet myth, people don’t mind scrolling one bit *IF* there is information they want to see on other parts of the page.

By reconsidering your catalog-copywriting techniques when it comes to the Web, you can get your e-commerce catalog ranked highly in the search engines. It just takes a little open-mindedness and a willingness to break free from the ways of the past. When you do, more customers and higher sales levels are bound to follow.

Testimonials Can Increase Your Web Traffic

We've all seen and read product testimonials. They're a very valuable tool for merchant sales and can often tip the scales in determining a customer's decision to buy. But testimonials offer another superb benefit. It's the benefit to you and your marketing strategy.

When I'm on a site offering a product or service I like to click on customer testimonials because they are generally short and easy to read. People typically point out exactly what they like about a product and how they used it to their benefit. Testimonials come from real users, they're not some ad written by the company.

Now, let's take the testimonial concept and think about it as a marketing strategy for you and your business.

Website testimonials describe how buyers feel about the products they have purchased and used. If you, as a buyer, offer your testimonial with your name and website address this now becomes a very valuable marketing tool for you. It will expose you and your business to everyone looking at that merchant's website. If the merchant site happens to be a well-known site offering a high demand product, this could mean huge exposure for you.

Note that many merchant sites will display your website address but will not put an actual link to it. While it's ideal to have a link to your site it's not always necessary. I often investigate sites of testimonial givers whether there is a link attached or not. As long as your website address is displayed, that is good enough.

Testimonials can also double as a great linking strategy as well. If your testimonial includes your link and is displayed on the front page of four or five high ranking merchant sites this can increase your link popularity tremendously. By doing this you have also just eliminated the concern of linking to competitor sites and you've avoided the hassle of reciprocal linking.

Testimonials don't only need to be addressed to merchants you buy from. You should also send your testimonials to ezines or free online services that you use. Send them in the form of complimentary notes. Compliment their products or services and describe how you find them useful. Websites interested in boosting sales will often use them and you are much more likely to get printed if you are delivering a compliment.

Keyword Selection and Website Optimization

Marketing and optimizing a website for search engines is a broad topic. There are many factors to consider when heading out with the goal of improving your website’s visibility and ranking within various search engines. In part one I will discuss the highly requested topic of website keywords. In follow-up articles I will cover additional topics such as page ranking, pay-per-click advertising campaigns, the marketing techniques to avoid, and the latest analysis technologies including eye tracking software.

Choosing the right keywords for a website is an important and informative research task. In the process of improving your website you’ll learn a lot about your industry and your competitors.

Keywords are one the main factors that come into play in the algorithms used by major search engines like Google, Yahoo, and Windows Live Search. If a web surfer is looking for home decorating tips and types ‘home decorating’ into a search engine, it will search its database for websites that contain that phrase and those individual words.

Selecting the correct keywords

If you are an expert in your field, you know what your customers are looking for. Specifically, you know many of the words and phrases your customers would use to describe your products and services. Start with what you know.

Write out a list of phrases and words that describe your business. If you have a home decorating business you may think of words like ‘interior design’ and ‘furnishings’. Sort your list so that the most common phrases are on the top of your list.

You will now want to cross-reference the list of keywords that you have compiled with other lists generated for your industry. This will bring to mind other keywords that you may not have thought of. I recommend using a popular web-based keyword research tool named Wordtracker (http://www.wordtracker.com). Wordtracker helps identify additional keywords and phrases and offers a free trial of their service. It provides only a limited number of related words, but is still a great starting point. Searching for related keywords for ‘home decorating’ with Wordtracker produces a list of keywords like 'home', 'decor', 'decorating', 'home decor', 'furniture', 'design', 'interior', 'interior decorating', 'art', 'wall', and 'fabric'.

Other keyword tools, which produce similar results, are also available. These include, among others, the web-based tools provided by Yahoo (Overture) (http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/), and Google (https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal).

After compiling and merging the various lists of keywords, you’ll be ready to move on to the next step.

Using the correct keywords on your website

Now that you have a clear picture of which keywords web surfers may type into their search engine to find your business, you need to be sure your website contains these important keywords.

A strategy is required when updating your website to include the keywords in your list. Starting at the top of your list, quickly review the keywords. Think about which keywords would naturally be present on your website and which keywords you probably wouldn’t use. Using the first list of keywords, you may now start reviewing the different sections of your website.

Your selected keywords should be placed in various areas of your site with the proper frequency. Your website content should focus on making sense to your visitors, not fed with keywords that will hopefully improve your search positioning. Search engine algorithms can detect the over use of keywords, which can negatively affect your positioning. Let’s now look at different areas of your website.

Website Title

Every website has a title. This is not a website logo or a bold heading found on the top section of a website. The website title is displayed in the web browser’s title bar. This is the top most area of the window located to the far left of the window’s minimize, maximize, and close buttons. The website title is also the text that is displayed in search engine search results, which is often in a larger font and underlined. The website title is the first thing that a web surfer sees when performing a search. Web surfers quickly scan through search result website titles to evaluate which website will meet their needs. This is your first opportunity to grab their attention.

A website title should contain as many of your keywords as possible, while maintaining easy readability. This will do two things for you. First, the search engine will find your website in its database and display your website in their results. Second, the website title will catch the surfer’s interest as they see their search criteria matching your website title. Over-stuffing the title with keywords makes the title difficult to read and may be seen as abuse by search engines. The website title is updated by changing the text located between the opening and closing title tags, in the header of the HTML code (Page Title). The title length should be kept to handful of words. The website description allows more space for describing your products and services.

Website Description

As with the website title, the website description should also contain a variety of keywords. Unlike the website title, the website description is not visible on any part of the website itself. The description is the summary information you see in search engines results, displayed below the website title. The website description gives you a little more space to describe your website and your products and services. Again, be sure that your description is easily readable for your visitors, in order to attract them to click your site title. The website description can be updated by changing the text in the description meta tag, in the header of the HTML code ().

Website Keywords

Along with the title and description entries in the HTML code, there is also an area to define a set of keywords that you’d like to associate to the page. This is called the keyword meta tag. Keywords are entered as a comma separated list, as follows (). The industry consensus is that the keyword meta tag is currently of little or no use with today’s major search engines. However, search engines continue to recommend their usage.

Website Content

This brings us to the meat of our website, so to speak. Our chosen keywords should be used throughout the website content where it makes sense. Again, over-stuffing page content with keywords so that the message is unnatural can be detected by search engines. A good practice is to use the keywords to make the page content more descriptive. For example, a pet store may sell a variety of pet foods. This can be written in a descriptive manner, such as, ‘dog food and cat food’, instead of using ‘dog and cat food’. In this example the keyword ‘food’ is used twice.

Headings and Hyperlinks

Special attention should be given to the usage of heading (This is a Heading) tags and anchor tags (click here). Keyword usage in page heading is more valuable than keywords used in a paragraph of text. The same can be said with anchor tags (a.k.a. hyperlinks). Using keywords as the clickable text of a hyperlink is very valuable.

Keyword Density

Keyword density refers to the percentage of occurrences of your keywords compared to the other text on the web page. Keyword density tools such as Webconfs.com’s Keyword Density Checker (http://webconfs.com/keyword-density-checker.php) provides a visualization of the main theme or message on a chosen page. This tool counts the number of times each word is repeated on the page, which is a good test of how you’ve done at inserting keywords to optimize the content. It is also a good representation of how search engines will see your page. ‘More is better’ is not the most effective keyword density goal. Although the optimum keyword density is much debated, having some balance is definitely in order. A density below 1% makes it difficult for a search engine to understand your main message, where a density over 5% will start to make the content appear unnatural. At this stage in website optimization, the page content can be continually edited while the keyword density is being re-checked. Continue this process until your keywords are among the words with the highest density.

Conclusion

Choosing the correct keywords for your website is a must. Website keyword optimization is not rocket science, but it must be implemented carefully. By using the correct keywords, not only will your site be positioned well in search results, but it will draw visitors to your website.

More Site Traffic

Hits are an essential part to all websites, without hits there would be no purpose to have a website as no one would be viewing it. What has been determined is that every site needs hits, but no one really knows how to generate site traffic, and hits. It took myself a very long time to understand how traffic worked, and how generating traffic was a very essential part to any website. I didn't quite know where to start, and fumbled around with different ideas, until I finally put together a balance of different techniques to bring large amounts of traffic into my websites. Luckily, you won't have to go through the same pursuits as I've put together some techniques for you too try, you just need to find your balance of these techniques.

Search Engines

Search engines are a very important part of traffic, 50% of most sites traffic is generated by search engines, so understanding Search Engine Optimization is incredibly important. There are a couple of ways to approach this, you can let your site get picked up by search spiders and listed in search engines, or you can manually submit your site through search engine submitters, this is usually the quicker way, but without using proper Meta Tags, and search keywords it means nothing. Meta tags are used to tell the search engines about your site and some information about them can be found here: http://justincanada.net/tutorials/menu.php.

Link Exchange

Link exchanges are a very well known technique and can take a very long time to build up. A link exchange is where one site links to you, and in turn, you link to them. This greatly increases your rank in search engines as they love the clickthroughs from other webpages. Some programs state to automate this for you, but this doesn't do half the jab as if you were to do it yourself.

Articles

Believe it or not, writing articles is one of the best ways to generate non-stop traffic, in fact, this is one of the best ways to generate traffic to your site, and probably one of the easiest if you don't mind sitting down and doing some typing. Basicly, your write about something that you know, sign your name, and website URL at the bottom of the article and post them to submission sites for people to read. Here are just a few that you can submit them too.

http://ideamarketers.com
http://articlecity.com
http://articlesfactory.com
http://goarticles.com
http://isnare.com

There are many, many more, just look :).

Adwords

Although costly at times, adwords is Googles creation, and that word alone should tell you that it's worth it. Google is taking over the world, so why not advertise with them :). Basicly, you design a ad companion with your site, description of the site, and keywords related to your site, you determine how much you want to spend when anyone clicks on your ads. Then when someone searches one of your keywords, your ad will appear to the right of the searches, and whenever someone clicks on your add, your account is debited whatever click through price you determine. It's great for those who have the money to spend on ad campaigns.

Auto Surfing

This is more or less a poor mans, or womens, way of gaining traffic, you more or less signup for an account, you are given a surf URL, and in some cases a referral URL. When you use your surf URL to automatically search members site, you received credits that go towards hits to your sites. This is good for insta-traffic, but is definitely not targetted. If you are really interested in them, I have provided a few below.

25 Simple Blog SEO and Traffic Tips

All of our themes are built upon the Genesis Framework. When you buy a StudioPress theme, you are getting state of the art code, smart design architecture as well as an array of beautiful frames for your content. You get unlimited access to our support forum, as well as unlimited theme updates. You can use our themes on as many websites as you wish. There’s no “Developer Option” here. Learn why Genesis is the foundation of any smart WordPress design.

This is a nice concise list of 25 ways to greatly increase your blog's traffic and search rankings.

1) Content is king!

2) Submit your site to as many search engines as possible. After the initial indexing I would recommend resubmitting every 6 months.

3) Comment on as many blogs as possible. Make your comments thoughtful and not spammy.

4) Link up with popular blogs - trackbacks can be good for SEO as well as your traffic.

5) Write a good article and post it on a site like http://www.digg.com, although this won't help as far as traffic goes (you will get a HUGE boost for a few hours, then it will tone back down, you probably won't get any permanent readers from Digg) and it sure doesn't help with your relationship with your web host, it can create some new inbound links.

6) Use http://www.google.com/webmasters/sitemaps/ . Instead of the GoogleBot searching for your pages you can tell it where your pages are. This is a great way to get your whole site indexed.

7) Content is king!

8) Get listed on web directories like http://www.dmoz.com/. Although many SEO "experts" think it is overrated no one disagrees that it can help boost your site's rankings.

9) Add some links for feed readers and blog aggregators like http://www.bloglines.com/, http://www.google.com/reader/, and http://myweb.yahoo.com/.

10) Add some social bookmarking links at the bottom of each post

11) Make it easy for your users to find your RSS feed

12) Add a "E-mail This!" link either on the header or the footer of each post

13) Content is king! (see a pattern?)

14) If you write a really good post try e-mailing the URL to some big-name bloggers with a short personalized message. You never know, they might like it and link to it.

15) Try asking some big sites who are in your niche if they would like to trade links. More often than not they will say "no", but at least give it a try.

16) Don't obsess over "get rich quick" schemes.

17) Don't obsess over "get lots of traffic really quick" schemes.

18) Submit your RSS feed to a bunch of RSS directories, http://www.rss-specifications.com/rss-directory.htm has a large list of popular directories.

19) Use http://pingomatic.com/ to notify a ton of aggregators that your site has been updated.

20) Don't obsess over the numbers - it takes time to build up a good reader base.

21) Make your posts as keyword rich as possible. Whenever you can use a word that has to do with your niche, use it!

22) Use lists, especially if your site is targeted towards more tech-savvy users

23) If you have a MySpace page or a home page on a similar service put up a link to your blog.

24) Tag important keywords, using this site ( http://www.richardrodger.com/tags.htm ) you can tag keywords.

25) Last but not least, offer free stuff. Everyone loves free stuff!

The really important thing you have to remember is, just have fun. If your blog is causing you to become stressed out then it probably is not a good idea to continue blogging.

If your readers can tell you are having fun while providing good content they will become permanent readers.

Writing Articles to Improve Link Popularity

There are many different ways to improve link popularity for your Website. One of the most effective ways to improve your site's link popularity is by writing articles for publication on other related Web sites and in other related newsletters or Ezines.

Catalyst Theme isn't your typical Wordpress Theme. It's not just a cookie-cutter template to slap on the face of your site. Catalyst is more of a design platform. It gives you the power and flexibility to create a site that's uniquely yours. With over 800 custom options at your fingertips, what you can create with Catalyst is only limited by imagination.

In this article, I will be sharing 10 techniques I use when I am writing articles to improve link popularity for one of my Websites.

Let's use this article as an example. I have two goals in mind as I start writing this article, a primary goal and a secondary goal.

My primary goal is to inform you, my reader, about how to improve link popularity for your Website.

My secondary goal is to improve link popularity for one of my own Websites.

If, after having read this article, you can say to yourself that this article was informative and it gave you one or more ideas about how to improve link popularity for your own Website, then I will have achieved my primary goal.

If, after having written this article, I can say to myself that this article was written well enough, and was informative enough, to persuade Webmasters and newsletter or Ezine publishers to reprint this article on their Website or in their newsletter or Ezine, then I will have achieved my secondary goal.

If I do achieve my primary goal, my secondary goal will be achieved as well - you will have been informed and the other publishers will realize that and will reprint this article in order to inform their readers as well.

Now, on to achieving my primary goal, informing you...

How to Improve Link Popularity by Writing Articles

1. Before writing your article, have definite goals in mind. Ask yourself what you want to accomplish by writing this article.

Since you are now reading an article about how to improve link popularity for your Website, that should be one of your goals. I'll leave you to decide what other goals you want to achieve by writing your article.

2. Have well thought out ideas for the beginning, middle and ending of your article.

For this article, the purpose of my beginning was to inform you about an effective way to improve link popularity for your Website.

The purpose of the middle of this article is to inform you about how you can use this effective way to improve link popularity for your own Website.

The purpose of the ending of this article will be to provide you with a way to learn more on this topic and, to achieve my secondary goal, to improve link popularity for my own Website.

3. Include your most important keyword in the title of your article. You will notice that I have used the keyword phrase "improve link popularity" in the title of this article. This will improve the odds that your article will become indexed and listed by search engines.

4. Use your important keyword throughout the content of your article. Again, you will notice that I have used the keyword phrase "improve link popularity" several times throughout the content of this article. Again, this is for the purpose of getting this article indexed and listed by search engines.

5. Write your article as if you were speaking directly to your best friend about a topic that both you and she are passionate about. Don't try to impress her with your knowledge of the topic. Simply provide her with your thoughts on the subject, using easy-to-understand words and phrases.

6. After you have written your article, leave it alone for a day or two before coming back to it. Using a fresh pair of eyes, read your article to see if the content flows in a logical, easy-to-understand manner. Then proofread your article for typos. Make any necessary corrections.

7. After you have written and proofread your article, publish it on your own Website. Include a resource box at the bottom of your Web page that informs Webmasters and newsletter or Ezine publishers that they are free to reprint your article. This is, after all, the focus of this article on how to improve link popularity for your Website.

8. If you publish a newsletter or Ezine, also publish your article in it as well. If it is a lengthy article, publish part of the article in your newsletter or Ezine and provide a link to the complete article that is published on your Website.

9. Include a resource box at the end of your article that provides a little information about you and an invitation for your readers to visit your Website. Some readers will go to your Website, read your other articles, and choose to reprint some of those as well. This is a definite bonus when you are writing an article to improve link popularity for your Website.

10. Submit your article to Websites that archive articles that are available for reprinting on other Websites and in other newsletters or Ezines. My favorite Website for archiving my articles and for obtaining articles written about how to improve link popularity is ArticleCity.com, located at http://www.articlecity.com/. Other archives can be located by searching on "free articles for reprint" or something similar.

Summary

It took me about two hours to write this article. When you are passionate about the topic you are writing about, the words just seem to flow from your brain to your article.

If you are passionate about the topic of your article, you will be able to write an informative article which will be reprinted by Webmasters and newsletter or Ezine publishers and that will help to improve link popularity for your Website.

Create a Blog To Drive Traffic To Your WebSite

Blogs (short for web logs) are not only free and easy to create, but they can be awesome traffic generating tools if you use and promote them properly.

If you haven't learned by now, the key to building free search engine traffic is to get as many related, high-quality sites to point back to yours. Search engines like Google take this into great consideration when ranking your website.

You can create your own blog that can act as that "related website" to point to your own, and in the long run your blog can not only attract its own traffic, but will help you build traffic to your main site.

My Blog Example

I have another site called www.flat-stomach-exercises.com. It shows you how to trim and firm your stomach by eating and exercising properly.

I created a blog for that website that documents some of the emails I receive from my visitors. It's almost like a Q&A section so people can reference some of the problems that other people are experiencing with weight loss and read my advice.

As I mentioned before, search engines look for related websites that link back to you, so I link the blog back to my main site's homepage to help with search engine rankings.

User Blogger.com

There are a lot of good, free blog hosts out there but I chose to use Blogger.com because with every new post you make, it creates a separate search-engine-friendly web page.

In a sense, it's like having a whole other website. Also, the more posts you have, the larger your blog becomes. Remember, search engines seem to favor sites with a lot of content.

Also keep in mind there are tons of blog directories out there that will list yours for free. So you can submit to these free sites/directories to help increase your traffic.

Let People Subscribe to Your Blog Feeds

Another benefit of creating a blog is that people can actually subscribe to it. You may have heard of RSS feeds (RSS stands for really simple syndication). It's a growing Internet trend where people can receive updates from their favorite sites without having to visit them.

They use software (or the Firefox browser) which allows them to manage all of their feeds in one place. So let's say someone subscribes to CNN.com and USAToday.com's live news feeds, they can open up their RSS reader and quickly browse the latest headlines from these sites. They can choose to read the articles that interest them and ignore the ones that don't.

Blogger.com will automatically create your own RSS feed URL so people can subscribe to your blog feeds. So when they open up their live feeds to get the updates from their favorite sites, any new posts on your blog will show up in their reader.

Add Adsense Ads

Once your blog starts bringing in traffic, you'll want to maximize the revenue potential by adding Adsense ads. If you aren't familiar with Google's Adsense program, go here to learn about it.

In Conclusion...

As you can see, a blog can really help increase the traffic to your main website if you continue to update and promote it. Many webmasters are finding that Google sometimes spiders blogs faster that some websites giving them that added boost of traffic.

If you remember nothing else from this article, remember that the key to having search engine success is to get as many related websites to link back to yours. Having a blog in your posession is like creating another vote for your site.

Be sure to update it often with unique content so the search engines will visit frequently. Happy blogging!

Can I Have To Many Links Pointing to My Site?

WooThemes takes time to make sure they not only have beautiful, interesting WordPress themes, but – most importantly – take more time to ensure their backend is aesthetically pleasing. I’ve yet seen a theme system more functionally beautiful than with WooThemes.

Using links as a practice to get your website positioned higher on the search engines is a positive thing. Many website owner ask the question, do I really need to get alot of links? What is the threshold of the number of links? Link promotion is the use of links to build up traffic to the site as well as to magnify your position on the search engines. Links and search engine ranking go together. With links you will not find your site moving up on the search engine pages. If you want to increase your search engine ranking, work on it getting links. That is it get links.

How many and what kind?

There is no one hundred percent concrete set figure. It's not having ten or twenty or trying to get to a 100. Its about having the correct type of links coming to your website. For example, you will need to understand about both reciprocal links and also links that point from other sites to yours these are called one way links. One way links produce traffic to your site without having the visitors click away with additional links on the site. Swapping links, when arranged correctly and applied in the right overall manner can help as well.

Beyond this, you will want to work with having good theme based links. The links should be related in some way to your website. For many this will mean finding webmasters that offers similar, but should not have the same information as on your site.

As for how many links you should have pointing to your internet site, the correct figure to go with is as many as possible. Be sure that the links are of great, well researched links, so they are not poor links. Poor links are those that are pointing to your site from a different theme site than yours. Make sure they accommodate for both reciprocal and links that are one way. Use them in the approved manner and you will see your business florish.

What to Consider Before Submitting Your Articles Online

Headway’s not just a WordPress theme. It’s a total website design tool. You’re not stuck with someone else’s design, so create anything you want! Websites, blogs, landing pages, online magazines, Headway does it all. Make Headway Today.

One of the most popular ways to attract website visitors today is by an distributing article with a link to the targeted site – included either in the article body or in the byline (aka Resource Box) - to online directories. If you head to your favorite search engine and research "submit your article" or “free content," you can find hundreds of sites willing to consider your article for publication so that they have fresh content on their sites – plus content for their clients’ sites - on an ongoing basis.

However, posting articles can become very time consuming. So to make sure you make the most of your article writing and submission process, here are some factors to consider first.

1. Invest a little time for research and find out where the best sites are for your niches / topics. Ask on forums and with others in your fields of interest, and learn where your articles will receive the most exposure. Also make sure that sites that offer your article have the correct terms of reprint rights policies.

2. Determine Page Rank for each article site directory under consideration to learn how fast the site is growing and how well the database is maintained and kept fresh. The rank is important because your page rank will eventually be calculated by the rate of the website that has inbound links to your website. Check online for free ranking tools like one here: http://rankwhere.com/google-page-rank.php

3. If you submit articles regularly, article website content owners may consider special joint venture promotions with you. Might want to look into this.

4. Article directories might want to reward frequent publishers with specials. This can include additional low-cost or no-cost promotions for your article. So keep on the look out for special deals.

5. Posting articles needs to be thought out so that you get your article in the appropriate category. You also want to check the reputation and history of a content directory, to make sure you are putting your article in a place that will improve your reputation, and not damage it.

6. By getting your article published in a highly admired content site, your article may be published in more ezines and on more websites. This means more visitors through your resource box link

There are several pieces of software that automate the process, and there are also places that will do this article submission service for you. Check around, ask on forums and try some to see which work best for you. Note that many content sites have banned particular automated software submissions because of inaccuracies and major problems with their experience using the software.

For example, many content websites will accept html, there are also many that totally ban it. Automatic software has been known to cause major errors with html error coding issues, causing major headaches for list owners and content site editors.

Resources

Here are some handy resources to help with your article marketing:

- Check out Jack Humphrey’s Content Desk and Content Propulsion Lab, for “Do It Yourself” companies who would love the benefits of easy step-by-step content site building, monetizing and promoting systems for the best ROI, and high-end Public Relations firms with low-end budgets, online at http://www.ContentLabInfo.com and http://www.ContentDeskInfo.com.

Craigslist Miami : Craigslist is Your Guide to Miami City!

Along with Atlanta and Dallas, Miami is hailed as one of major cities of the "New South," meaning that it is an expanding, progressive Southern city with a growing global influence. One of the reasons for this is the vast cultural diversity which exists in Miami, due largely to foreign immigration into the city over the last several decades. This has contributed to building Miami's vivacious music and club scene, considered by many to be the liveliest in the country. If you're clueless about where to go and what to do in the Miami scene, look to Craigslist to lend a hand.

Craigslist is a network of sites for communities throughout the United States and around the globe. The Craigslist network helps connect people for things like garage sales, apartment subleases, job interviews, and even romantic encounters. Formed in 1995 as a network for just the San Francisco Bay Area, Craigslist boasts over 450 sites worldwide as of 2006. Each site represents a different U.S. state, Canadian province, or global city. This huge growth in just over a decade was managed with a staff that never exceeded 24 people. With a few exceptions, advertising on Craigslist is free, and postings are organized into various major categories and subsections for easy browsing and navigation.

If you are in Miami and faced with impending boredom, a good first step toward staving it off is to head to Craigslist Miami (http://miami.craigslist.org) and begin browsing the "community" section. In particular, you may want to start in either the "activities" or "events" board. The activities board typically contains smaller, more individual or pair activities. For instance, you can find someone looking for a swimming partner, or someone posting to find volleyball players to field a tournament team. The events board is where you'll find some of the club happenings, among other things. Just a quick glance at the events calendar yields some apparently entertaining prospects such as a "belly dance spectacular" and a "Bjork costume party." These are just the tip of the iceberg for events in Miami.

Perhaps you are into something more low key, or even would like to learn a new skill while you keep yourself busy. For that, there is the "classes" board. Here you can find about myriad types of classes being offered in Miami, from salsa dancing to American Sign Language to voice training. No matter which method seems most appealing to you, they are all great ways to do something exciting and fun while meeting new people around South Florida.

There are numerous other offerings within the community section of Craigslist Miami. There are boards dedicated to advertising group meetings, assembling car pools, finding child care, and even a section to help reunite lost items and pets with their owners. Each of these is worth a look, if for no other reason than to teach you some more about the great city of Miami and the people and happenings within it.

What are the largest & most lucrative online multilingual markets aside from English?

The Thesis Theme framework is a premium template system for WordPress that is designed to serve as the rock-solid foundation beneath any kind of website.

With Google reporting that over 50% of their traffic comes from multilingual searches, it has become crucial to consider developing a multilingual online presence. However, the question remains the same: Which markets to target? Which ones are the most important in terms of users, etc.?

First of all, let's see which parts of the world feature the most users. Contrary to general belief, it is not North America! With close to 400 million users, Asia definitely takes the lead, followed by Europe with approximately 315 million users, in comparison to 232 million in North America (North America being defined as the U.S., Canada, and Mexico).

In my extensive experience with multilingual online applications, I have learned over the years to differentiate clearly the amount of users versus the market potentiality of a product or a service. For example, the Hispanic online market (between South and Central America, the U.S., the Caribbean and Spain) features slightly more users than the French-speaking market. But when it comes to buying power, countries like France, Belgium, Switzerland and Canada (Quebec) have so much more buying power than Peru, Bolivia or Chile!

More than just buying power, we need to look at the cultural ramifications involved in internet behaviors. In other terms, is a specific market used to ordering & transacting online? For instance, compared to its amount of users, France is extremely active online, while French-speaking countries in Africa are proportionally inactive. The same applies when comparing Spain and some South American countries. If you were to compare the online buying habits between 100,000 users in Spain and the same number of users throughout South America, you would notice that people out of Spain order products and services at least 5 times more than their South American peers.
In many cases, it is not a matter of buying power, but rather mail order habits based on the country's postal delivery system. In fact, in many countries where the postal system is unreliable (not to say flaky!), online users were not "groomed" with mail order habits prior to the internet. As a result, although such markets will look for products and services online, they certainly are not as mail order oriented as other countries featuring more efficient mailing systems.

Therefore, it is impossible to rely solely on the amount of users when considering establishing a multilingual presence online. Another good example to illustrate such fact would be China and Japan. China currently has almost 145 million users and it is one of the fastest growing markets on the internet. Japan, with 86 million users, has nearly reached its maximum potential with almost 70% of its population online. A very small proportion of online users in China own a credit card or even have the right to order what they want, while in Japan it is exactly the reverse.

Once again, no one should confuse the amount of users versus the buying power of a given market.

On the other hand, one needs to consider the worth of Third World markets/economically disadvantaged countries. For instance, countries like Bangladesh, Mozambique, Somalia, etc., might not seem very attractive at first. However, in Third World markets, those online are affluent and wealthy. In those countries, there is no middle class. Basically, you are either dirt poor or filthy rich! Online users in those countries belong to the the second category. Many online gambling portals and entertainment websites of all kinds have found high spenders in economically-disadvantaged-markets. In fact, wealthy individuals in Rwanda or Chad do not have many entertainment outlets in their homeland! Furthermore, most everything is lacking within their country infrastructure: clothing, electronics, etc. Online applications have therefore become a form of "entertainment salvation" for the wealthy minorities of third world markets.

Online multilingual markets are complex, and instead of looking at languages/countries just by their buying power or number of users, one should evaluate what they have to offer and define the marketability of their products and services accordingly.
Are you looking for end users to buy your products? Then look at the buying power of the targeted markets along with the reliability of their postal and transportation services. Are you a manufacturer looking to find more distributors/to increase your exports? Then chances are that the world is your oyster.

I advise you to perform a meticulous evaluation of your market potential when developing a presence on multilingual search engines. So many factors need to be taken into consideration...Do not look at Japanese, French or Spanish just as country specific, but rather online language market shares! Just as an example, aside from all countries where Spanish is spoken, one of the most active Hispanic online markets is in the U.S.!
WWW = World Wide Web. Is your website really reaching worldwide?
The time has come to implement action on a global scale!

What Is a Link Bidding Web Directory?

Use PageLines Drag & Drop Framework and WordPress to build professional websites faster, easier and better than ever before.

The concept of bidding on links in a directory is pretty new. Basically a Link Bidding Directory allows a site owner to place a bid normaly at the minuim starting price of $1.00 and if the webmaster places the highest bid their website will be ranked number one on the main page of the Link Bidding Directory and also in the catagory the webmaster has selected to have their website listed in.

Webmasters can bid any amount desired to determine their website position in the Link Bidding Directory but depending on how much you bid will determine your overall website ranking.

Normally a Link Bidding Directory will display the first 10 highest bids on it's home page and Links in the directory are permanent and sorted into related categories, displayed in descending order of the bid amount.

A Link Bidding Directory is also a 100% human edited web directory of quality, family-friendly, and spam-free sites organized via a comprehensive category structure.

By submitting your website to a Link Bidding Directory you will increase the number of links pointing to your website which will give you a better search engine rank, and also bring more visitors to your site, plus it will also increase your Google PageRank and improve your site's overall site strength.

What you should look for in a Link Bidding Directory before submitting your website and placing a link bid is what is the Google Pagerank of the directory and what will it cost you to get on the home page of the directory.

If the directory has a google Pagerank of 3-4 and you can get your website listed on the home page for under $10 then that is a great deal because your link could remain on the home page for 2-4 months and you will get people clicking on your link and you will also get a share of the PR of the directory in the next Google pagerank update.

But if the directory happens to have a Google Pagerank of 5+ you can expect to pay $20 plus to get your website listed on the home page of the directory, but you need to remember your link could be there for 2-4 months so paying $20 to get your website listed on the home page of a PR5 directory is well worth the investment.

If you need a list of Link Bidding Directories then you can go to Google.com and typin the following keywords that will return many Link Bidding Directories you can check out.

Link Bidding Directory
Bid On Links
Link Bidding
Bid Directory
Bid On Links Directory

Another great thing about Link Bidding Directories is that if your website gets out bidded and you no longer are listed on the home page of the directory you can increase your bid and you will thus be listed on the home page once more.

So overall paying for a link on a Link Bidding Directory can well be worth the investment and with the number of Link Bidding Directories coming out each day you have an endless source of new places to get cheap links pointing back to your website.

We hope this article has been of help to you and we recommend you visit our two directories listed below.

Positive Thinking Is A Powerful Tool

Positive thinking is one of those intangible ideas that doesn't work for everyone - i.e. not everyone is taking advantage of this powerful tool in their lives. Some people just have to be negative in their lives or they are not happy. Try being in a positive frame of mind, and you must do it everyday, not just once a week. People who do try to be more upbeat and happy tend to lead more productive lives.

Congratulations imPower Themes: you’ve done all WordPress users – whether advanced or rookie – a real service. Pity there’s not a Nobel Prize for WordPress themes.

The Law of Attraction is often associated with positive thinking. You attract those values and feelings that you send out into the universe. So if you spend your life being negative and mean to other people around you, that is what you will get back. Feelings of depression and isolation usually are good signs of how you live your life. If you don't make an effort to attract good fortune into your life, and not just money, but good will and love, you won't ever have the chance to enjoy all that your life has to offer you.

A good example of this is hating your job and thinking your coworkers are all idiots. This leads to a negative though process and now you hate going t work every day. The stress will start to eat away at your subconsciously. You may get sick or feel depressed. Start every day by looking in the mirror and telling yourself that you will have a good day and you will do your best today. Be your most positive self and watch the change all around you. When you are blind because you are so negative, you miss opportunities to better your situation. But because you are too busy wallowing in self pity, you never see that door open that will lead up the ladder of success.

Goal setting weighs heavy on positive thinking. You set a goal to return to school after being out for ten years or more. The more you sit and think that you can't do it, it costs to much money, or you probably wouldn't be able to keep up all keep you from attaining your goal. Thinking positively will help you through some of the rough spots. Believing in yourself and your abilities will keep you on the right track. It is tough sometimes to be the oldest one in the college class, but you will shine as a n example to others that it can be done no matter how old you are. You set your goal and you kept plugging away until you achieved it.

Many people don't like to set goals for a number of reasons. These include lacking to vision to see attaining the goal, fear of attaining the goal, and not being able to forgive other people for the way we are. Make sure you can see the steps involved in attaining your goal. Take small steps if you have to, but know where you will end up. As they say, the journey begins with the first step. If you are fearful of attaining the goal, talk with others in the same position who have attained the success you are after. These can be some of your best resources. Forgive yourself for blaming everyone else for your problems when in reality, you brought them on yourself. This one is the hardest. Give yourself time to work through each of these and bring forth a new meaning to your life.

The subconscious mind is an all powerful stepping stone to positive thinking. There are things in your subconscious mind that you are not even aware of being there. The subconscious mind is usually receptive to the free flowing thoughts from your conscious mind. Keep these thoughts happy, carefree, tranquil, and upbeat to keep your spirit in harmony and in good cheer. Keeping negative thoughts only adds to stress, illness, and the end of some relationships. Even when you are sick and don't feel well, tell yourself that you are healthy and vibrant. Don't let dark thoughts invade this time. Erase worries and problems and spend time meditating on feeling better.

Once you teach yourself to be optimistic, it will take over all by itself. You will get up every morning and be ready to face the day with a new vigor. You will attract good fortune and people who want good fortune as well. Your subconscious mind will be sending happy thoughts to your conscious mind and you will feel refreshed and ready to hit the floor running. Any goals you are trying to attain will seem a little closer each day and not as hard to accomplish or reach.

Ethics: What Produces Human Fulfillment?

One of the most important questions to ask ourselves in this life is: What produces ultimate and genuine human fulfillment? I think to answer that question effectively one has to take a moment to reflect upon what does not give fulfillment. Our society has placed such a value on money, even over the importance of relationships, that most of us have a shallow view of the potential of our ability to connect with others on a deeply personal and communicatively intimate level.

Which leads me to my thesis statement about how humans find fulfillment. I believe it is two things: relationships and achieving our goals. For those that are not goal orientated, I would lean towards relationships and contentment. Relationships are important because they give us connection, love, romance, friendship, and a person with whom to share our lives with--if we are blessed to have one. Married couples, I believe, enjoy laughter, romance, spending time together, and even debating on a daily basis. I am reminded of the scripture in the Book of Proverbs that states: "Iron sharpens iron." When we learn to live with someone who at times can be very difficult or unlovable, we get a true picture of what agape, or unconditional love is all about.

When I love my wife when she gets angry, for example, I become a living model of Christ to her. I feel like more than a conqueror when I am able to stay in the spirit, when my wife goes into the flesh mode. One time, in particular, my wife said something very inappropriate at me in front of a slew of people. I said: "I love you." She broke down crying. I was the victor because I surrendered to the spirit of God within me. Thus relationships,goal-achievement, contentment, and please allow me to add one more--submission to the Holy Spirit, are paramount to a satisfying life.

While thinking of those things aforementioned, I would now like to delve into the meaning of life. I believe the achievement of a pleasing relationship is attainable and of utmost importance to all mankind. When I think about the concept of giving, it is important to have someone to share the inner workings of your heart and soul with. For example, I know that I can talk to my wife about anything and everything. I even do funny things with her that I cannot do, and would not dare do, with anyone else. Without a person to sort of let your hair down with, be yourself and get real, we are dead in the water. Why? We were made to connect. It's hard to explain. The best example would probably be the commitment within marriage. We choose to love. That choice is a big deal in my life, because I know my wife knows she can count on me and that means the world to me inside my heart. I know I can count on him too. This is the key to life for me, and quite possibly for many other happily married couples.

When a person achieves their goals, in the area of careers, dreams, and spiritual growth, they are truly experiencing the meaning of life. When a woman or man achieves their career goal, to be promoted to the highest office or objective, they may truly feel great about themselves. Much respect may come about as a result of it. Deeper still though, when one is blessed enough to be a Christian leader in the corporate realm, we have a responsibility to serve our clients as Jesus himself would have. That entails looking and caring for people's hearts, and not just their pocketbooks or immediate needs. If a person is fortunate enough to see their dreams come true, that is the ultimate in fulfillment. I once heard an actor say: "I'm lucky enough to do what I love." I believe many of us would experience much joy to do what we love, or to finish the call of God on our life. None of the above goals can take place without spiritual growth. None.

Make Money With Affiliate Marketing By Writing Articles

If you can either write articles or have the promotion and marketing knowledge to publicize articles that others write, becoming an affiliate for several companies may be a great way for you to generate a good income right from your own home. You can do this by receiving part of the revenue off of sales that the company gets from people who "click through" from your website via the affiliate company's links that are placed on your pages.

Since you will be promoting a product or service, you will need a powerful sales pitch and good website content to get your readers interested in the product, convince them that they cannot live without the product, and to keep them coming back to your website time and time again for more recommendations and your useful content, which will get them clicking on your links once again. Although many affiliate companies only give you money off of the first sale you make from each customer, you have the option of promoting a good range of companies so that you can still make a profit off of your returning customers.

If you cannot write this kind of content of your own, there are many ways to pick up free or paid content to place on your affiliate website. There are many reasons why paying for such articles would be to your advantage. First, you will be able to tell the writer exactly what you want, what product you are trying to sell, and what direction they can go in to keep your readers interested and informed. On the other hand, when you search for free content, you are limited to what is already out there. Secondly, you will own the copyright to this content. That means that no one else can reuse it without your consent. If you opt for free content, you will be sharing that content with an unknown amount of other affiliate websites, plus the original author will be able to place their byline at the bottom of the article which could result in them stealing your traffic.

There are many products that have nice affiliate commission rates for those who know how to pre-sell their product and deliver click through customers who are ready to buy. As long as you choose to promote a product or service that can be very useful to a wide variety of people, then pre-selling your chosen company may not be that hard at all. The key in this situation may likely be getting those customers to your website so that they have a chance to see your recommendations and click on your affiliate links.

Solving Your Blog Traffic Troubles When Starting an Online Business

StartBox comes with an incredibly easy-to-use, extendable settings page. This means a quick and painless setup for users and an incredible new level of control for developers.

Having a blog is one of the essential features of owning an online business. If you are just starting an online business, usually you are concerned about how much money it's going to cost you to run your business. Blogging is one free way that you can advertise quickly and effectively, so you don't want to go without.

Once you have set up a free blog through Blogger or Wordpress, you are on your own to create content for your blog. Creating quality content becomes very important if you want to drive traffic to your blog.

Of course the reason you want traffic is because you want to advertise your products and services that you may offer on your website. Another reason to drive traffic to your blog when starting an online business is that you want visitors, and you want repeat visitors.

If your website visitors are exposed to your offers multiple times, chances are more likely that they will come to know, trust, and respect you. It often takes more than one visit before people will consider buying from you, but it's your quality content that will catch their attention in the first place and establish that trust and respect before they buy.

A good way to get repeat visitors is to use RSS on your blog so that visitors can subscribe to your blog and see updates as they happen. Even after that, and some good quality content, it is still often a challenge when starting an online business to get traffic to your blog.

One way to solve this problem is by signing up for blog traffic exchanges that are much like regular traffic exchanges that display your links based on a credit system. For example, you can sign up for Blog Soldiers and everyone who uses the system will get a chance to read your blog when they surf for credits.

A more effective way to build up your blog traffic when starting an online business would be to get involved with blog circles - a network of other bloggers. If you are at all familiar with the new social bookmarking trend in internet marketing, then getting involved in a blog network is very similar.

The idea in social bookmarking is to connect with others online who are also starting an online business, for example. You can publicly bookmark other's posts and everyone can access not only your posts but those you've bookmarked. By commenting on other's posts, you create a ton of new traffic to your site.

A blog network is much the same, where you read content that you are interested in under a common blog category and links are shared within the network by other bloggers. This is much like commenting on a blog and leaving your link at the end for others to access. This creates a whole new wave of traffic to your site, in addition to your other advertising efforts.

Not only can you get more traffic by joining a blog network, but if you want you can even make some money at it depending what network you join. If you do a Google search for "blog networks" you will see the different kinds you can get involved with.

Starting an online business can be intimidating, but if you use free advertising methods like blogging to build your traffic with good quality content, then you will find that other bloggers will want to link to you. Once you're in a network of blog links, you are sure to see your traffic and earnings rise!

Blogging Success: Make Your Blog Look Unique

StartBox currently comes with four highly confugurable widgets, each of which can be used as many times as you like. StartBox also has eight widget-ready areas by default.

Many blogs display the same boring templates or skins for the layout. While the template does not affect readers who enjoy your blog via RSS feed (unless they click through to the blog), but it really affects any other blog visitor who reads the blog from the web browser. The more unique looking a blog design is, the easier it is to build brand recognition and a good name that gets you into viral marketing. If your blog looks like dozens of other blogs, your own blog will not stick out from the crowd and you will lose out on visitors. In the past I have been using free Wordpress templates myself. I applied minor modifications, but it never really separated my blog from others enough to be really unique.

The problem with so many blogs is to find out what is their main specialty. What is the main topic a blogger is writing about? Often there is no way to tell what a blog is about - especially if you enter a blog from an older posting through a search engine listing. The homepage might eventually have a small snippet of text explaining the topic of a blog, but archived articles do not show this normally. Or the blog owner does not even bother at all to tell what his main intent for the blog is. By using a custom blog design this can easily be integrated and helps to make the blog look different from anyone else.

By using a custom header as an example it helps to get the unique look you are looking for. First of all if it is completely unique it makes my blog stick out more. Second it can help you to show what your blog is all about and therefore get people to come back. Make your Blog look unique + make sure your visitors know what your blog is about. Just because they find a (one) posting of your blog that matches their search term, it does not mean that your blog is really of interest to them. But you might be able to catch their interest by pointing out what your blog is really about. If you catch their interest you might gain a new reader that a) comes back to read more from your blog and b) eventually tells others about your great blog.
